As you already noticed, "Places" in Yoxos only allow repositories that are available online (an can be accessed by the server and other users).
If you want to add additional content that should not be available to the "outside world", I recommend Yoxos Enterprise. There you have your own server running in your company, where you have total control over the content and who has access to it.

Hello, here I come again and try to seriously evaluate Yoxos for our 100 developers. here is my problem, I create a checkStyle (internal) configuration name "Talend Config" and add it to my profile. If I save it and restart the current workspace, Yoxos tells me there is an update (it should not but ok...), it the creates a new checkstyle config named "Talend Config 1". That is really a problem cause a lot of our project are linked to the style named "Style for Talend" and not the newly created one of course. I have the same behaviour when I update the profile checkStyle config and launch a workspace that should be updated, instead of updating the current style it creates a new one with a different name. Is it expected ? how could I work around this ?

Actually I just launched it manually on the commandline and it launched fine, where as doubliclicking on the profile file was failing.
Then after the successful launch the double click on the profile worked ok.

You are mentioning an update, is it the one with the checkstyle override fix ?
How do I know what is in the latest release ? I can't find any release notes.

I was able to launch this profile without a problem. Appears to contain XText, ATL, Mylyn, Mint, svn, and a few other tools. You can try launching with the -clean argument (maybe you have corrupt cache).

What OS are you using? We've released an updated launcher to fix some things in MacOS and Ubuntu.

The behavior of the checkstyle provisioning (for version 4 and 5) has been changed and tested.
Now it will overwrite an existing configuration if it has the same ID.

I think this is how most users expect it to work.

Hello, I really appreciate the fact that you can provision a target platform but I could not find a way to make it the default one when I create a new workspace. The Running Platform is still the default one. It would be nice to have at least the same behaviour as in CheckStyle provisioning, that is the target platform you provision is set as the default one. Ideally the Target Platform provisioning tab should be offering a way to select one of them as the default (same suggestion for CheckStyle), and if none is set to the default one, then do not change the workspace default value.

We basically have two options here:
1. Just overwrite the configuration that has the same ID
2. Rename the old Checkstyle configuration and store the one frem Yoxos provisioning without name change.

Seems that we have some issues with the firewall.. When a large number of plugins needs to be downloaded there are some issues toward the end. If I start with an empty profile and step by step add more components, then everything works just fine.

Our users can have a complex environment where we need to setup alot of things before starting Eclipse. Today this is done by a batch script that is run manually before Eclipse starts up. With Yoxos we want to be able to remove this script and move it to the profile instead. So we suggest you add the possibility to run an ant script before the profile is launched (or really, any type of script will do)

Just installed the latest Yoxos Launcher for GTK 32bit on Ubuntu 11.04 and the Launcher doesn't start.
